Sport England (erstwhile a English Sports Council) is the person responsible distributing funds & providing strategical counsel for sporting activity in England. This funding comes from either each a Treasury and the National Lottery. Since 1994, it has invested all over £2bn of Lottery funds & £300 million from either a Treasury into sports inside England.
A chair of Sport England is Lord Patrick Carter, while previous athlete Tessa Sanderson is vice-chair.
Sport England is split into nine Regional Sports Boards (RSBs) which are then responsible working sustaining local governments, businesses & clubs.
